What Do I Bring?

    Bring your Official Kit.  Big Sally has spare Official Kits in case you left yours on the kitchen counter or, maybe, The Dog Ate It.   More than anything, though, bring a willingness to have a good time, even an expectation of a really fun time with your own kid(s) and the rest of the folks on the bus.

    If you have never worked with hand tools or power tools, or if the thought of just that block of wood in the box make you want to cry or hurl things at the window or (gasp!) the Cubmaster, stop.  Take a deep, cleansing breath, calm your heart rate and know, just know, it'll be OK.  Uncle Pat has been doing this for more than twenty years . . . and the first car I built was with a carpenter's framing hammer and a huge 

    If you've been aboard Big Sally before, well, you know what to expect.  I'm hoping you'll have even a better time this year.

What Does a Ticket Include?

    Pretty much everything, really.  You need to provide your own kit, though I can sell you another if you need it  

    A specific list of what's included is:
        A Safety Briefing                        
        An Introduction to the Tools and How To Use Them
        Your Choice of more than five dozen Patterns               
        (Including a Pencil to trace that Pattern with)
        Use of the Tools  
        Zinc Cylindrical Weights    (We DO stock Tungsten Weights at Catalog Price)      
        Vises to hold those Weights and Hacksaws to Cut those Weights to the Proper Mass                   3/8" Diameter Dowels to fill the Holes You Drilled for the Weights)
       Sandpaper for hand-sanding
        Electronic Scales 
       Krylon Spray Paint (Two Coats of One Single Color)
       A Repurposed Paint Dryer (no; this is NOT a hair dryer) (it isn't)
       Axle Adjustment Tools (Small Hammers and Straight-Slot Screwdrivers) 
       Epoxy and Super Glue to repair those pesky dings that happen to the Most Meticulous of Us
       Graphite to put the Fearsomely Fast Spin on the Wheels
                (We stock Triple-Ground XLR8 graphite for the OCD Among Us at Catalog Price)
        And
                THREE HOURSE OF CONCENTRATED FUN AND FOCUSED EFFORT WHICH
            WILL ALLOW YOU AND YOUR CHILD(REN) TO LEAVE THE BUS WITH A
             READY-TO-RACE, COMPETITIVE CAR.
